Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a QA Game Tester for our client, an independent American video game developer and publisher in San Diego, CA, 100% onsite/no remote, University Heights area. 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. For immediate consideration, apply today.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting & Communication:

• Maintain excellent spelling, grammar, and bug-writing skills in multiple mediums/programs.
• Maintain excellent online and in-person communication. Strong work ethics, come to work on time and ready to be productive.

QA Testing

• Direct test execution on assigned projects on a daily basis. Work with the team to help integrate advanced test execution (compliance, automation, compatibility, etc.) as needed. Execute tests and document defects with a high level of clarity and proficiency.
• Track and update any important changes or documentation from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo relating to TRC/XR’s/Lotcheck, best practices, hardware/SDK changes, and any related materials. Maintain and communicate compliance standards and any related information to developers and team.

Player Support

• Answer support tickets from Zendesk and investigate issues from users. Provide post-release support for assigned products, working with our support staff to effectively research and document player-reported defects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated excellent command of written language; excellent command of spelling and English-language grammar; demonstrated ability to effectively review and edit defects.
• Demonstrated excellent command of functional testing as well as compliance testing and bug writing best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to adjust testing on the fly and deal with rapidly changing environments.
• Familiarity with platform tools required to perform basic test functions (examples: receiving builds, pushing builds, Sony SDK’s, Authoring & Submission Tools, etc.).
• Preferably 1+ years QA test/compliance experience or 4+ shipped.
• Passion for video games, great attitude, enthusiastic demeanor, reliability, and a good sense of urgency.
