The Public Health Officer (PHO) is responsible for the onboard coordination and execution of RCG’s onboard public health program, ensuring the company’s public health and infectious disease prevention standards are met and/or exceeded to maximize crewmember and guest health and safety. They will provide onboard guidance to ensure ongoing regulatory readiness as required by US and international public health standards, as well as internal RCG policies (SQM). The PHO will identify significant trends and communicate these findings in a timely manner to shoreside Public Health and the Fleet. They will stay abreast of updates to public health-related policies and protocols and provide continuing education, mentoring and support to onboard personnel. The PHO will possess good judgment, strong public health and regulatory knowledge, excellent communication skills, be self-directed and detail oriented.
