Job Description

Our client, an industry leader in transportation and rail vehicle manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Painter Position to join their team. As a Painter Position, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting vehicle assembly and finishing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Painter Position

Location: Fort Madison, IA

Pay Range: $21

Shift: 2:10pm - 10:40pm

What's the Job?

• Prep, prime, and apply topcoat to light rail vehicles
• Hand, block, and mechanically sand vehicle shells for primer and paint
• Mask and clean surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint
• Prime and undercoat vehicles to prepare for final finishing
• Assist other painters and perform general maintenance of equipment as needed

What's Needed?

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and technical documentation
• Basic English skills for effective communication with team members and vendors
• Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Physical ability to perform sanding, masking, and painting tasks
• Ability to pass a Spirometry test and Respiratory fit test if required
