Job Title: Contractor Marketing Associate, Social Content (Short-Term Contract)

Sephora is looking for asocial-obsessed, proactive, trend-savvy, and highly organizedcontractor to work with ourSocial Contentteam. This individual will play a key role in maintaining Sephoras presence across social platforms, contributing directly to the Sephora social calendar and supporting brand launches in theskincareandhaircarecategories.

The ideal candidate isagile, collaborative, and editorially sharp with the ability to write culturally relevant, on-brand copy and adapt quickly to an evolving social landscape. Youll work cross-functionally across marketing and merchandising, while keeping a close eye on emerging social trends to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging. This role requires a deep understanding of social media, exceptional organizational skills, and a true love for beauty.

This is afull-time (40 hours/week) contractor role through February 2026. Applicants must live in the Bay Area, as this role requires reportingin-office2 days per week. The hourly rate for this position is $50 per hour.

The Opportunity:

Sephora is seeking a MarketingAssociateto support the development and execution of social content across Sephoras owned and partner social channels. Reporting to theAssistant Manager, Social Media, youll help ensure our social programming aligns with broader brand priorities and delivers on our overall strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and execute social content for Sephora campaigns and evergreen initiatives across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and more.
• Support Sephorasskincare and haircaresocial strategies, partnering with cross-functional teams including Category Marketing and Merchandising to deliver thoughtful and impactful content.
• Write and optimize captions, text overlays, and community responses that are editorial, entertaining, and aligned with our brand tone.
• Collaborate across teams to understand business priorities and build content plans that support them.
• Track and analyze content performance for skincare and haircare; provide insights and recommendations to optimize future content.
• Use platform and audience insights to make our social storytelling iconic.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in social media marketing; experience in beauty, lifestyle, or retail is a plus.
• Proficiency in major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/YouTube Shorts, Pinterest) and familiarity with emerging platforms (Reddit, Substack, etc.).
• Strong writing skills with an eye for editorial detail and brand voice.
• Experience working in a highly cross-functional, collaborative environmentagency or brand-side.
• Eagerness to learn and grow; comfortable taking on new challenges in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to stay flexible and adapt quickly to changing social trends and business needs.
• A passion for social media and a deep interest in beauty and community culture.
