Job Description

Machine Operator

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machinery used in the production process. This role involves ensuring that machines are running efficiently, performing routine inspections, and addressing any issues that may arise during operation.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for the Machine Operator position. While previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machines and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Monitor the quality of output to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Follow established safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to achieve production goals and address any operational challenges.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements of Job:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write, basic math knowledge, and understand English. Demonstrated ability to follow directions accurately and work collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructions, operating machinery, and inspecting produced parts. Capability to understand and translate job-related documentation effectively. Strong attention to detail to identify and address basic maintenance needs, product defects, and operational issues. Comprehensive understanding of production procedures and best practices. Ability to work for extended periods while standing and performing repetitive tasks, including bending and stooping. Capacity to adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in warehouse and production settings. Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
