Seasonal Ice Rink Attendants play a key role in creating a safe, clean, and enjoyable skating experience for families, friends, and neighbors throughout the winter season.

Dates : November 14 - January 19, 2026 is our ice rink season. Some required availability over the holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

Essential Functions:

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Assist with rink opening and closing procedures, including skate preparation and rink-side setup

• Help guests with skate rentals, returns, and sizing

• Monitor ice activities, enforce rink rules, and provide crowd control support

• Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the rink area

• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests as needed

• Support supervisors with rink operations, events, and general upkeep

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in cold outdoor conditions for extended periods

• Team player with flexibility to take on a variety of tasks

• Skating experience is helpful, but not required

Data Utilization : Requires the ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data. Situational Reasoning : Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.

Physical Ability : Tasks require the ability to exert medium physical effort in light to medium work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds. Tasks may involve balancing, bending, climbing, crouching, handling, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping, walking, and extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Some work is done on a slippery surface.

Sensory Requirements : Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Environmental Factors : Essential functions are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires the ability to work in a cold outdoor environment.
