FirstFleet, Inc. is seeking an experienced inside claims adjuster for our Murfreesboro, TN corporate office

to Investigate, Evaluate and Settle Casualty Claims in Partnership with FirstFleet's Third Party Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Claims management of all high value BI/PD and litigated claims.
• Reporting/ Review / Approval of TPA loss reserves and settlement authority.
• Review TPA status reports with an eye to prompt settlement and avoidance of unnecessary litigation.
• Control litigation costs by monitoring DC responsiveness.
• Work with Risk team, TPA and DC in timely response to Answers, RFP, Interrogatories, Etc.
• Attend/Participate in mediation.
• Provide regular updates to the Director of Risk/VP Safety Risk
• Maintain State Licenses.
• Pursue continuing education for furtherance of knowledge specific to Risk Management, Transportation, Insurance and Litigation Management

Education:

• College Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical ability.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• High degree of organization and self-direction.
• Flexible to change/direction as claims develop.
• Communicate with tact and professionalism in all situations.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years previous experience as Claims Adjuster handling auto liability claims including fatality losses.

Special Requirements:

• FirstFleet is a 24-hour a day, 7-days-a-week corporation. The Claims Adjuster "workday" is not always 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variable schedule, including on-call days is required.
• Current State Licensing is preferred, with a willingness to obtain state licenses as required by state and local jurisdictions with an eye to FirstFleet's eventual move toward self-insurance.

Salary:

$80,000 to $95,000 based on experience.
