Join our Team as a Mortgage Loan Consultant!

We’re looking for motivated recent graduates to join our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Mortgage Team as Loan Consultants. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the mortgage industry with hands-on experience guiding clients from application through closing—entirely over the phone and through digital platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Engage with Borrowers: Manage inbound and outbound calls with consumers interested in purchasing or refinancing residential properties.
• Pre-Qualify Applicants: Evaluate credit, income, assets, and other financial data to effectively pre-qualify borrowers.
• Recommend Loan Solutions: Present tailored loan options that align with borrower needs while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Manage Loan Pipeline: Maintain a robust pipeline of applicants and oversee the loan process from initial application through funding.
• Deliver Clear Communication: Provide timely, transparent, and professional communication to guide borrowers through every step of the mortgage process.
• Leverage Technology: Utilize CRM and Loan Origination Systems (LOS) to manage leads, document interactions, and track loan progress.
• Stay Industry-Savvy: Stay informed on current mortgage products, interest rates, and market trends to deliver informed recommendations.
• Achieve Sales Goals: Consistently meet or exceed monthly production targets and conversion metrics.
• Maintain Licensing: Proactively obtain and maintain required state licenses as directed by Orion180.

• Education: Recent graduate from a 4-year accredited institution.

• Mortgage Sales Interest: Demonstrates a strong interest in building a career in mortgage sales.
• Licensing: Eligible and committed to obtaining and maintaining an active NMLS license.

• Sales & Communication: Strong interpersonal, communication, and sales skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds—both over the phone and in person.

• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in navigating digital loan origination systems and CRM platforms.

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading, being able to lift light objects (<25lbs), and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist or squat down to open/close cabinets, and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
