Job Description

This position is for TBDN Tennessee Company, located at 1410 U.S. Highway 70 Bypass Jackson, Tennessee 38301.

I. General Summary:
Primary job focus is to operate machinery, light assembly, product inspection, and packaging. The operator is responsible for supporting the company's mission statement and overall business objectives by living the quality philosophy, following the environmental policy, and actively working to improve production results.

II. Essential Job Functions:
Follow all standard work procedures.
Meet production requirements and complete all production sheets.
Stop, call, & wait for all abnormal conditions.
Follow all safety procedures and communicate issues with TL/GL.
Perform required quality checks.
Participate in a manufacturing system emphasizing teamwork, safety training and discipline.
Utilize TPS techniques to standardize process/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process/methods.
Maintain daily 5S in the work area and equipment.
Work well with other team members.
Understand and work by the TB Way philosophy.
Other duties as assigned.

III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred

Personal/Technical Skills:
Experience in precision measuring equipment.
Good math and communication skills.
Must be able to work a shift schedule including daily or weekend overtime.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly motivated, ambitious self started.
Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
Perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels.
Ability to maintain on call flexibility to control abnormal conditions.
Ability to exercise on daily basis.
Work well with other team members.
Understand and work by the TB Way philosophy.

IV. Work Environment/Conditions:

Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.

Travel: 0-5%

V. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
