The Signal Group Warehouse Lead will support and assist in the standard functions and processes of the warehouse including effective delivery and fulfillment of orders, receiving, inventory management, and product returns, while upholding the highest standards of responsibility and performance. They are also responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager with training needs and resolving customer issues. The Warehouse Lead will work proactively and collaboratively with the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Associates, and other departments. This role is also responsible for meeting company standards for productivity, product knowledge, resourcefulness, and being solution driven.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support daily warehouse shipping areas that include fulfilling and shipping customer orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, and overseeing the shipping process.
  • Oversee the shipping schedule and/or process as needed to fulfill orders.
  • Ensure products are shipped promptly and accurately and assist warehouse staff in doing the same.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide training for new warehouse staff as needed.
  • Support the inventory control process and the receiving process.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct cycle counts as needed.
  • Assist with returns throughout the lifecycle of the process and ensure each stage is handled promptly, including returns credits
  • Continuously maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Communicate with Warehouse Manager when warehouse workers are not complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Utilize reporting tools and resources to manage shipping and inventory efficiencies.
  • Assist with creating processes and documentation for systems affecting warehouse operations.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong data analysis skills utilizing available tools to support the data
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of challenging circumstances
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task when under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse activities
  • Ability to teach and train warehouse employees
  • Proficient using a personal computer, warehouse software and proprietary software
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
  • Knowledge of EOS preferred

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience in lieu of education considered

NetSuite experience is a plus

Certificates and/or Licenses

Certification to drive hi-lo required

Certification to ship Hazmat required

Physical or Other Requirements:

  • A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day
  • Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting
  • Pushing and pulling inventory from shelves
  • Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Climbing ladders
  • Usage of pallet jacks throughout the day as needed.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and traverse the warehouse throughout the day

Work Environment:

The primary location for this position is the business's physical location.

Limited hybrid work may be permitted for specific tasks at the manager’s discretion.
