This is a remote position.
Our Business
Spatial lets businesses, educators and independent creators build and share Unity powered 3D interactive and gamified experiences across Web, Mobile, and VR. Businesses and educational institutions use Spatial because it offers a more engaging and memorable experience. Our most common use cases are Brand Marketing, Corporate Training, Interactive classrooms for educators & Events.
Experiences can be built on our website using our no-code editor or in Unity, with the Spatial UnitySDK.
Spatial works with several large consumer brands, businesses and universities such as Huge Boss, the Utah Jazz NBA team, Walmart, BMW, Jack Daniels, Absolut Vodka, Vogue & Hublot.
What you’ll be doing
Building features for the Spatial platform and the Spatial UnitySDK, primarily in C#
Working with Spatial’s clients to answer questions from their unity developers and giving their team advice on how to create better experiences
Fix bugs and address client issues, and implement improvements to existing functionality
Our Tech Stack
Unity powers our 3D experiences on Web, Mobile and VR and some 2D UI
React, React Native and React-Unity to quickly build 2D UI on web, mobile and VR
Backend: Go, Postgres & Redis
Our Ideal Person
Technical Skills
Substantial professional experience shipping projects with Unity and C# as an individual contributor or a team lead
Good understanding of the graphics pipeline (Shaders, meshes, skinned animation, draw calls, lighting techniques, etc)
Good understanding of web graphics limitations, especially relating to WebGL
Non-technical Skills
Effective and professional communication with clients
Clear explanation of technical concepts to other engineers
Great at game design and understanding how that can apply to our customers’ goals
Additional Qualifications (not required but a strong plus)
Web development experience (React, Javascript or Typescript, CSS, HTML, etc.)
Experience with designing and using REST APIs
Experience with multiplayer (Photon or other equivalent networking frameworks)
