Registered Nurse (RN) – Maternal Care (Home Health)

 

Location: New York, NY – Bronx Borough

(Work is completed at patient homes throughout the Bronx Borough)

Job Type:

Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Start Date: July 21, 2025

 

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on Maternal and Child care to provide in-home nursing services across the Bronx Borough. This role involves traveling to patient homes and delivering care to newborns, children up to 18 years old, and their mothers when applicable.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct home visits to provide nursing care to maternal and pediatric patients (newborn to 18 years old).
• Provide care for mothers during newborn visits, which will be counted as two patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the home setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and families to ensure quality care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.
• Follow agency policies and adhere to professional nursing standards during home visits.

Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience in MedSurg, Maternal and Child Care, Critical Care, or Pediatrics.
• Current Maternal Child home health experience preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
• Comfortable with frequent travel to patient homes throughout the Bronx Borough.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additional Details:

• No on-call required.
• Nurse must be able and willing to travel for home visits within the Bronx Borough.
• Patient care includes newborns, children, and occasionally mothers during newborn visits.

This role involves nurse traveling to patient homes and providing care for anyone from newborn to 18 year old of age. \n\nNewborn visit might require to provide care for the mother as well which will count as 2 patients. \n\nNurse must have PALS and have experience in at home setting.
