Job Title

Location

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temp assignment
• Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour days (Days)
• Duration: 13 or 26 weeks (available immediately)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy.
• Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to clinical needs throughout procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records using Epic.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including every 5th weekend.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to meet facility needs within scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alaska RN license in hand (or pending license with strong preference).
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, SGNA certification preferred.
• Experience with endoscopic procedures such as EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy.
• Skills in patient monitoring and procedural assistance.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Level II trauma or magnet hospital setting.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.
• Ability to work within a block schedule with limited time off requests.

Additional Details

• On-call required every 5th weekend.
• No float within scope; scheduled within endoscopy department.
• No holidays scheduled for time off during this assignment.
• Guaranteed 70 hours every two weeks; potential to be called off for one 10-hour shift biweekly.
