About ICON Concerts ICON Concerts is a boutique promoter specializing in live comedy tours. We prioritize putting the artist first and ensuring transparency for consumers. Our team promotes and produces full tours and one‑off dates, offering a 360‑degree tour experience with zero egos. Our specialty is building, developing, and branding artists through white‑label touring while working behind the scenes to let the artist shine. Role Overview The Comedy Tour Marketing Manager is a mid‑level, hands‑on position focused on the day‑to‑day execution and management of marketing campaigns for nationally booked comedy tours, with a particular emphasis on theatre shows. This position works closely with artist management, booking, the internal marketing team, ticketing, and venue marketers, bridging both strategic planning and hands‑on execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and passionate about live comedy and entertainment marketing. Responsibilities Support the development and execution of multi‑channel marketing plans for nationally booked comedy tours under the guidance of the VP of Marketing. Manage and track advertising budgets across digital, radio, print, outdoor, and grassroots channels, ensuring accurate allocation and cost‑effective execution. Coordinate with artist management, agents, venue marketers, ticketing partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and timely campaign delivery. Oversee the creation, trafficking, and distribution of tour marketing assets—including artwork, video content, email blasts, and social materials—ensuring brand accuracy and alignment with the artist’s vision. Monitor ticket sales pacing and assist in implementing tactical strategies such as targeted promotions, paid media adjustments, and last‑minute boosts. Collaborate with the Digital Specialist and internal marketing team on performance reporting, analytics, and campaign optimization. Partner with publicists and media outlets to support earned media, promotional opportunities, and press efforts across tour markets. Cultivate strong working relationships with venue marketers, promotional partners, sponsors, and media outlets to fulfill marketing and trade deliverables. Support market research, audience development initiatives, and ticketing strategy discussions. Maintain organized documentation, updates, and reporting to ensure internal teams have consistent visibility into campaigns. Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, occasionally supporting junior staff and cross‑team projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of experience in live entertainment, concert, or tour marketing. Experience supporting multi‑channel marketing campaigns and collaborating with artists, agents, promoters, and venue marketers. Strong understanding of digital advertising, media buying fundamentals, and marketing analytics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar CRM/marketing platforms is a plus. Experience with Photoshop or a design tool is preferred, but not required. Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for live comedy, touring, and fan engagement. Competitive salary with growth potential. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) program with company match. Generous paid time off, including holidays and sick time. Salary Range $60,000 to $70,000 (based on experience) Hiring Practices This job description outlines general responsibilities but is not exhaustive.
