• Health assessments. Conduct health assessments to identify student health issues.
• First Aid. Administer first aid and emergency care to students as needed.
• Medication Management. Administer medications according to school policies and procedures.
• Health Education. Educate students on health and wellness topics.
• Health Records. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Communication. Communicate with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student health concerns.
• Support. Assist in health-related programs and initiatives within the school.

• Medical Expertise. Possess strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric care.
• Empathy. Demonstrate empathy and patience when dealing with students health concerns.
• Organization. Maintain organized health records and manage medication administration using SNAP, SDJAs EHR (electronic health record) system.
• Teamwork. Collaborate with administrators, educators and staff to support student well-being.
• Problem-solving. Think on your feet and provide solutions in emergency situations.
• Compassion. Show genuine care and concern for the well-being of all students.

• Nursing Certification. Current nursing certification and state licensure..
• Pediatric Experience. Previous experience in pediatric/school nursing preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification. Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Adaptability. Ability to adapt to various health situations in a school environment.
• Excellent Communication Skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with students, parents and staff.
• Professionalism. Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to ethical standards.
• Team Player. Willingness to work collaboratively with school staff and parents.
• Flexibility. Be available for on-call assignments as needed.
