Structural Forensic Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Forensic Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and analyzing the cause and effect of structural failures and providing forensic engineering expertise in legal disputes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision and professional growth, while also adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations to determine the cause of structural failures
• Analyze data collected from site investigations to determine the scope of damage and develop appropriate solutions
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and conclusions to present in court as expert testimony
• Provide technical research and analysis to support case development and litigation
• Create and interpret diagrams, sketches, and photographs to support technical communication
• Review building department records to determine building code compliance
• Conduct lab research to support on-site investigations and data analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in forensic engineering or structural analysis
• PE License Required
• Expertise in codes and standards related to buildings and structures
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Experience with conducting background checks and managing sensitive information
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently
• Technical expertise in structural analysis, on-site investigations, and data analysis
• Familiarity with industry standards and engineering principles
