CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant candidate in the Sanford, ME area. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and be highly organized with attention to detail. This is a direct-hire opportunity with room for growth and a flexible work-from-home option after the initial training period.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end financial close, including preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial data and reporting.
• Assist with payroll processes (ADP experience a plus).
• Work with ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus).

Desired Background/Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong work ethic; consistent employment history preferred.
• Employment sponsorship and relocation are not available for this role.
