Sponsorships play a key role at Visa and in LAC. They deliver great results for both Visa and our clients, and the Sponsorships Director role will drive deeper engagement and value of Global, Regional, and Local sponsorships across our diverse markets. Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Sponsorship, this role will interact with all functions within the LAC business, primarily with local marketing teams and other marketing verticals in the hub. The Sponsorships Director will act as a subject matter expert on sponsorships and activation within Visa’s sponsorship verticals of Sports, Music, Culinary, and Entertainment.
Additionally, the role will engage with global stakeholders, primarily within Sponsorship and Brand Marketing functions. The individual must have a strong understanding of sponsorship asset management, rights holders/governing bodies, negotiations, and marketing to guide internal stakeholders, manage agencies, and liaise with rights holders. The candidate will also represent the LAC region within the Global Taskforce structure for Global Properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategic Alignment & Activation
Drive the use of sponsorship assets to support the strategic priorities of the business.
Ensure sponsorship assets deliver maximum traction and value for clients across LAC.
Creative & Toolkit Adaptation
Manage the creative adaptation process of global property toolkits for the LAC region.
Develop and delivery of tools and frameworks for sponsorship implementation across LAC markets.
Property Management & Allocation
Oversee property asset allocation process across LAC.
Manage property approvals and liaise with sponsorship management agencies.
Oversee property budgets and forecasting.
Program Development
Coordinate development of the Visa Athletes Program within LAC, maximizing opportunities for Visa and client usage.
Lead development of opportunities for FIFA Tier 2 events, including FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA Interactive eSports World Cup.
Lead development of regional opportunities for sports, music, entertainment, and gastronomy
Supporting regional/local sponsorship marketing teams across music, entertainment, and gastronomy verticals.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work with global and regional teams on hospitality program development.
Collaborate with Corporate Communications on staff engagement initiatives to bring global sponsorships to life internally.
Agency & Partner Management
Liaise with global sponsorship teams and external partners for approvals and negotiations.
Lead negotiations for new regional sponsorships and talent
Utilize agency resources as needed for property management and creative execution.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,500.00 to 237,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
