Position Summary...

The Territory Account Executive (TAE) – Commercial Sales is a frontline individual contributor responsible for driving revenue growth, cultivating new business, and expanding relationships within an assigned territory. This role operates within the Walmart Business Commercial Sales organization and reports directly to the Director of Commercial Sales. The TAE is expected to execute strategic sales motions, deliver measurable results, and embody the organization’s values of integrity, customer-first thinking, and operational excellence.

What you'll do...

  • Retain the Customer – Build trust through proactive account management and exceptional service. Ensure continuity and satisfaction to minimize churn and maximize lifetime value.
  • Upsell and Membership Growth – Drive adoption of Walmart Business membership programs to unlock additional savings and benefits for customers. Position membership as a strategic lever for efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Grow the Customer – Expand wallet share by introducing new categories (e.g., breakroom, office supplies, technology, facilities). Increase GMV through multi-location engagement and additional user onboarding. Identify cross-selling opportunities and leverage data insights to deepen relationships.
  • Act as a Strategic Advisor – Understand customer business models and pain points to deliver tailored solutions. Provide consultative guidance that aligns Walmart Business capabilities with customer growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and grow a personal book of business within the assigned territory, focusing on pipeline development, prospecting, and closing new opportunities.
  • Execute targeted sales campaigns and outreach strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Drive Customer Retention: Maintain strong relationships and deliver consistent value to ensure long-term loyalty.
  • Promote Membership Programs: Educate customers on benefits and secure membership adoption as a core growth driver.
  • Expand Account Footprint: Identify opportunities to add users, locations, and categories to increase GMV.
  • Leverage Data for Growth: Use analytics and insights to prioritize high-potential accounts and inform strategic outreach.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Customer Success to optimize the sales process and ensure seamless onboarding and account management.
  • Maintain CRM discipline, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasting data.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, ethical selling, and resilience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to support continuous improvement and personal development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in eCommerce or commercial sales environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce/SalesLoft) and data-driven sales reporting.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team structure.

  • Experience in territory management and strategic account growth.
  • Familiarity with Walmart Business products, services, and customer segments.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
