Position Summary:

When you join Babcock Power, you will be part of a team that innovates and designs sustainable solutions in the power generation industry. Our goal is to extend the life and improve the performance of existing boilers. To support this goal, our manufacturing site, Boiler Tube of America, (BTA) manufactures replacement pressure boiler components and auxiliary industrial boiler parts for boilers. We are currently seeking a Senior Designer for our manufacturing site in Lyman, SC.

Essential Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The designer will collaborate with the team to ensure designs meet customer requirements while minimizing manufacturing cost.

As a Senior Designer you will:

1. Prepare product design drawings in AutoCAD.

2. Create Bill of Materials in Excel for ordering all job materials required.

3. Perform duties which include reviewing drawings, contracts and proposals.

4. Run full size templates from AutoCAD files to be used on the shop floor to check bend configurations.

Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
To Be Considered:

Education: Technical Drafting Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Experience: 10 Year experience in the Power Industry preferred.

Occasional travel to job sites will be required to gather information from either drawings, or boiler inspection of the existing components and pressure parts inside the boiler.
