Job Description
Senior Content Manager is responsible for overseeing, creating and distributing compelling social content to drive engagement and conversation around PGA TOUR Champions and its storylines.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Journalism, Media or Communications preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in creating content for use on social media platforms
- Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, including creating content for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other platforms
- Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required
- Strong writing and editing skills including grammar, style and spelling
- Design/photo editing and video editing skills; Adobe Creative Cloud’s Photoshop and Premiere preferred pre
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment
- Prior experience updating and maintaining a brand, team or other professional social media account
- Prior experience operating and maintaining professional digital video and audio equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Work with Director of Social to create and implement content strategy across PGA TOUR Champions social
- Lead on-site content production and planning
- Develop, edit and publish compelling content for use on PGA TOUR Champions social programming. Content could include images, videos, graphics and copywriting
- Develop and execute digital strategy for Korn Ferry Tour programming Manage daily and weekly content calendar, ensuring continuity and quality across all platforms
- Develop, edit and program fun and interesting content for use on Korn Ferry Tour social programming. Content could include images, videos, graphics and copywriting
- Work closely with and coordinate with Communications team to bring Storytelling initiatives to life across social platforms
- Oversight of content budget allocated to Korn Ferry Tour coverage
- Communicate effectively across the Digital Contentcontent team to ensuring other producers staff members are able to cover PGA TOUR Champions platforms as neededto maintain consistency and coverage as needed
- Represent PGA TOUR Champions Social Content to key stakeholders both internal and external
- Work with Digital Content team members to create unique packages as events develop
- Adhere to brand standards and established voice across platforms
- Take part in regular creative brainstorming and pitch sessions
- Attend metrics meetings and utilize available data to update strategy across platforms
- Execute content on behalf of marketing and/or sales initiatives
- Available to travel for content creation opportunities at key events throughout the season Travel to 10-20 tournaments and content shoots per year to create on-site content
- Available during competition hours, which will include evenings and weekends
- Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame
