As a Security Guard - Unarmed Utility Site Patrol in Lutz, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a critical utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent potential issues, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This Unarmed post requires you to be alert and responsive, ready to address any security-related concerns that may arise. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying credentials as required.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters within the utilities environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
