About Us: Aspire Dermatology is a leading provider of comprehensive dermatology services, including skin screenings, cosmetic procedures, and Mohs surgery, with a commitment to patient care across our twelve offices. As a Scribe and Medical Assistant, you will support our healthcare professionals and assist in clinical and administrative duties to enhance the patient experience.

Work Schedule: This is a Full-Time position with a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (must be flexible with hours).

Compensation: The pay rate ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on your education, certifications, and experience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Verify patient information and record medical histories while utilizing an iPad during visits.
• Assist in preparing patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized correctly.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness in clinical areas, including sanitizing rooms and equipment.
• Manage inventory and clinical supplies efficiently.
• Handle phone inquiries from patients, pharmacies, and referring providers.
• Upkeep patient confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Process insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and collect necessary payments.
• Use EMR software effectively to enter lab results and communicate with patients regarding their care.
• Willingly rotate between multiple Aspire offices as needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a Medical Assisting Program or possess a Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) OR have 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
• Basic understanding of CPT/ICD 10 coding.
• Influenza vaccination is mandatory.
• Exceptional computer skills and customer service orientation.
• Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with strong spelling and grammar skills.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to adapt skills across various areas of medical practice.
• Capability to comprehend and apply policies and procedures effectively.
• Professional interaction skills with patients, providers, and team members.
• Ability to remain calm and act effectively in emergencies.

Physical Demands:

This position requires physical capabilities including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. It also involves using hands for tasks like typing and handling equipment.
