Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. This role requires delivering therapy across approximately 5 to 9 schools, with a caseload of 30-40 students spanning elementary through high school levels. The position is full-time, with 37.5 hours per week, aligned with school bell schedules that vary by grade level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students across multiple schools, adapting to varied age groups and individual needs
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement tailored therapy plans
• Ensure compliance with district and state regulations for school-based therapy services
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all student interactions and progress
• Adjust service delivery based on district requirements and student needs as they evolve

Qualifications:

• Active Physical Therapist license is required
• Experience working as a PT in a school setting is mandatory
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30-40 students across multiple schools
• Strong communication skills for collaboration within educational teams

Location & Schedule:

• Position is onsite only in the Research Triangle, NC area
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• School bell schedules vary by elementary, middle, and high schools (ranging from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM)

This contract opportunity lasts through the current school year, with an immediate start and an end date of June 10, 2026.
