This role is responsible for developing and expanding business with OEM and Tier 1 customers by offering engineering-based sales solutions. The Sales Engineer plays a key role in identifying growth opportunities, managing customer relationships, and executing commercial strategies to secure new and replacement business. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with internal teams including engineering, program management, and finance to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business success. Key Responsibilities Develop and support sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives. Maintain and strengthen relationships with engineering, purchasing, and quality teams at OEM and Tier 1 customers. Secure new and replacement business opportunities to drive revenue growth. Monitor market trends, regulatory updates, and customer requirements to inform product and business planning. Lead customer quotation processes, including RFQs, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations. Present business cases, sales forecasts, and customer updates to internal management and stakeholders. Manage commercial contracts and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs). Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align development efforts with market opportunities. Support program management and engineering changes as part of the sales pipeline. Represent the company in customer meetings, reviews, and industry events as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. 2–10 years of experience in business development, program management, or technical sales, preferably in the automotive industry. Familiarity with injection molding and interior trim products is a strong advantage. Existing relationships and experience working with OEM and Tier 1 suppliers preferred. Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Willingness to travel as needed to meet business and customer demands. Core Competencies & Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with customer portals and CRM tools is a plus. Strong negotiation and commercial management skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across engineering, quality, and operations teams. Self-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
