Anticipated hiring pay is $76,000.00 - $99,750.00. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 8% based on company performance. In this position you will:

• Assist with identification of high-risk hazards/job tasks and development of high energy controls.
• Help develop and implement safety and security programs.
• Develop and support safety training, maintain plans and records.
• Lead new hire safety training and pre-employment activities.
• Apply State and Federal OSHA standards appropriately.
• Oversee and conduct onsite safety observations.
• Participate in safety committees and teams.
• Manage Safety Data Sheets.
• Prepare for potential security and emergency events.
• Assist with security assessments and audits.
• Help facilitate emergency drills.
• Respond to campus alerts and support security as needed.
• Serve as part of storm, emergency, and disaster recovery teams.

Need to have:

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years in occupational, utility, construction safety, or related area,

OR

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or similar field
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations and laws on burglary, theft, trespassing
• Flexible schedule for trainings, meetings, and incident reviews
• Valid driver's license

Nice to have:

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in occupational safety, utility or construction safety, safety engineering, or closely related fields.
• Prior employment with a utility or construction company.
• Demonstrated experience in utility operations or electrical work as a lineworker, electrician, or comparable role.
