How you'll contribute

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Requires 3-5 years clinical experience. Strong organizational skills, communication skills (both verbal and written), and will be self directed, flexible, and able to adapt to rapidly changing regulatory requirements. Must be an effective communicator. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with physicians; Strong working knowledge of hospital organization, operations, and its interactions with medical staff and other hospital departments is essential. Demonstrates knowledge in using clinical information systems and has experience in acute care facility.

What you will do

• Assists with the quality activities of the organization, including monitoring, implementation and evaluation of processes and programs to meet regulatory, accreditation and standards of practice.

• Projects include but are not limited to: core measure data abstraction, review and analysis; development and implementation of quality improvement strategies and participation in actual and mock Joint Commission surveys.

• Has responsibility of ensuring coordination of care activities for inpatients and outpatients, concurrent medical record abstraction, and case review for CMS Public Reporting Initiatives, or other quality/regulatory initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, clinical, and quality departm

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 178-bed general acute care facility boasting spacious, private rooms for all patients, a 24-hour emergency department, medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals also operate the region's only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals' only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.
