We are seeking a Powder Plant Operations Manager for a global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials.
As the Operations Manager of the Powder Plant you will be responsible for the safe, and efficient output of the client’s largest powder coating facility. You will ensure daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals are met. You will also coordinate with functional supports Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality Control, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Engineering and Shipping to ensure adequate support is provided for you and your team to succeed daily.
Additionally, the Operations Manager ensures efficient execution of roadmap projects and is a necessary member of the Gainesville leadership team. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager working on site at our Gainesville, Texas manufacturing.
Routine Activities
· Provide leadership in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations and promoting a culture of safety.
· Use quality methods, Lean, Six Sigma, and other tools to improve production flow, enhance quality, and increase cost effectiveness
· Set up and lead team actions aimed at continuous improvement and site road map action plan.
· Foster engagement among associates and provide development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
· Guide the implementation of the plant's future state roadmap to achieve strategic goals.
· Collaborate and support supply chain activities for the site, including inventory management, logistics, and procurement.
· Communicate with all supporting functions to ensure understanding and support of operational goals.
· Attend and lead as necessary daily and weekly Tier Meetings.
· Facilitate product transfers throughout powder organization.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry.
· Minimum of 10 years of industrial management experience in paint or chemical manufacturing.
· Lean and Six Sigma Black or Green Belt (preferred).
· Project management skills.
