Patient Transporter

Position Responsibilities

• Ensures that all patient transports are completed within the assigned timeframes.
• Accurately checks in and out of the patient transport system and enters the correct pager number when starting work.
• Maintains a positive attitude when transporting and interacting with patients.
• Informs nursing staff when a patient leaves the unit and when they return.
• Helps with the upkeep and care of department equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers, ensuring they are clean and safe to use.
• Collects specimens and blood products and safely delivers them to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR required or must be obtained while in training.
• Ability to operate portable radio.
