Job Role – Patient care technician

Location – Brooklyn, NY 11213

Shift- Day, Evening, Night Shift (Weekends are required)

Rate - $20 - $22 per hour on W2

13-Week Contract Position

Patient Care Technician's Responsibilities

 

• Provides direct patient care and related support with caring and compassion, performs other related duties.
• Provides Routine Personal Care to Patients in a Timely, Safe, and Effective Manner.
• Care May Include Bathing, Brushing Teeth, Dressing Patients, and Attending to All of Their Personal Care Needs.
• Prepares Patients for Meals, Feeds, And /Or Assists with Feeding as Necessary.
• Empties Bedpans and Collects Urine and Other Specimens.
• Transfers Patients to and From Bed and/or Chair Via One-Person Transfer, Two-Person Transfer, And Use of a Hoyer Lift.
• Takes Accurate Vital Signs Temperatures, Blood Pressures, Pulse, And Respiration.
• Records All Necessary Information According to Policy and Procedure.
• Assists Patients in Walking and Transporting Patients Using a Chair or Stretcher.
• Performs ROM Using Proper Technique.
• For point-of-care testing, verify the expiration dates of reagent strips provided by the manufacturer before performing quality assurance testing on glucometers.
