*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and optical experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our patients. This role involves performing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual disorders, and prescribing corrective lenses while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records.

*Responsibilities*

* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect ocular diseases.
* Provide appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans for patients, including prescribing glasses or contact lenses.
* Maintain detailed medical records using EMR and EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
* Educate patients on eye health, proper care of contact lenses, and the importance of regular eye exams.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry and participate in ongoing education.
* Ensure a clean and aseptic environment while performing examinations and procedures.
* Assist with the management of optical sales and customer service inquiries.

*Requirements*

* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state license to practice optometry.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care.
* Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
* Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for patient documentation.
* Familiarity with medical coding practices is advantageous.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
* Ability to perform vital sign assessments as part of patient evaluations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
