Multifamily Investments Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC

Reports To: Associate, Investments & Managing Partner

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Multifamily Investments Analyst to join our team. This role is designed for a driven professional with strong financial and analytical skills, a passion for real estate, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The position will be evenly split between asset management responsibilities and acquisitions underwriting, providing exposure across the investment lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesAsset Management (50%)
  • Monitor performance of existing multifamily assets against budgets, pro formas, and business plans.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual property/portfolio performance reports.
  • Assist with investor reporting, lender compliance, and capital partner updates.
  • Support execution of value-add strategies, including unit renovations, operational improvements, and capital projects.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to maximize occupancy, rent growth, and NOI performance.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform asset-level decisions.
Acquisitions & Underwriting (50%)
  • Source and evaluate new multifamily investment opportunities across target markets.
  • Build detailed financial models to underwrite acquisitions, including income, expenses, debt structures, and return sensitivities.
  • Conduct market research, rent comparables, and demographic analysis to support investment theses.
  • Assist with due diligence, including lease audits, third-party reports, site visits, and coordination with consultants.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees and external investors.
  • Track pipeline opportunities and maintain relationships with brokers, lenders, and other market participants.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel financial modeling.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to senior leadership and investors.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Genuine interest in multifamily real estate, operations, and value creation.
