Medical Receptionist Position

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our client team in Mount Orab, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the medical front office while delivering exceptional service to patients. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will contribute to efficient patient scheduling and check-in processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process to ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately while maintaining up-to-date records in the system.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally and address inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department.
  • Manage the medical front office operations, including maintaining patient files and verifying insurance information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when managing sensitive patient information.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions regarding required documentation and appointment procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts or patient concerns promptly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical receptionist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in patient scheduling and familiarity with medical front office procedures.
  • Strong understanding of basic medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling software or systems.
