Job Description

Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role involves distributing mail, reports, and written communication to designated parties. The successful candidate will perform account maintenance and handle tasks such as faxing, scanning, and copying. Promptly and efficiently resolving customer issues and escalating complex cases to the appropriate departments is a key aspect of this position. The role also includes interacting with patients during check-in and check-out processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Distribute mail, reports, and written communication to designated parties.
  • Perform account maintenance, faxing, scanning, and copying tasks.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Escalate complex cases to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Interact with patients during check-in and check-out processes.

  • Knowledge of healthcare practices
  • Ability to interact with patients professionally
  • No scheduling or billing experience required

Work Environment:

The role is based in a clinic environment on the main campus for ambulatory clinics. The working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The position is fully on-site and offers the opportunity to gain experience across multiple specialties, including ortho, primary care, and allergy clinics.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
