Compensation Range: $23.52 - $32.92
Responsibilities:
General Purpose: Assists pharmacists by compounding, preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintains all requirements for licensure as a registered pharmacy technician, in accordance with New York State Education Law, and performs duties consistent with medication compounding. Identifies problems and provides basic troubleshooting skills to maintain operation of technology to ensure the highest level of safety. Participates in and reinforces environmental monitoring and compliance required by USP standards.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Education & Experience:
High School diploma required
3 years of experience preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of all departmental required education for compounding services preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Be of good moral character
Completed ASHP accredited training program or equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician upon hire required
Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program (Currently PTCB) and maintain ongoing education requirements upon hire required
