Salary: $25-$30+/hr DOE

Position: Law Mentee

Law student with an aptitude and/or desire to develop financial skills that add value to successful business owners and high paid corporate executives through specialized tax and investment strategies. Local firm with national practice seeks to mentor an aspiring attorney in order to build capacity to serve this national growing group of clients.

You will be responsible for assisting Ralph Antolino, Jr. with estate, tax-reduction, and wealth transfer planning for our high-net-worth clients.

This position is based in Columbus, OH. We have multiple offices and are looking to grow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Client Relationships:
  • Review existing wealth transfer documentation
  • Review and maintain updated tax and estate transfer math models for clients.
  • Support Ralph and the Advisor team with any estate/tax items
  • Help with miscellaneous client service needs that come up throughout the year.
  • Develop the analytical capacity to determine and help recommend solutions in all estate/tax areas in preparation for client reviews, including insurance and trust planning, and other techniques required to help our clients minimize taxes and reach their goals.
  • Cultivate great relationships with our clients
• New Client Relationships
  • You will have the opportunity, not the obligation, to support Ralph in bringing in new relationships who may benefit from our services.
  • Prepare for meetings; review/update presentations like Trading Tax Dollars for Philanthropy
• Team Member
  • Work with other team members to evaluate and/or /lead new firm-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Actively participate in industry/community organizations.
  • Promote our culture of optimism and happiness for both employees and clients.

Education, Experience and Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum
• Year 2 or Year 3 in Law School, or Law Degree required
• Problem-solving skills; enjoys math
• Expert in Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word and Outlook
• Track record of establishing and maintaining successful interpersonal relationships
