About the Role

As a teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our curriculum and ensuring the success of our students. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to becoming best-in-class professionals, continuously improving their instructional practices through collaboration and targeted development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement engaging curricula and activities that meet our high academic standards.

  • While a background in education is not required for new teachers, a demonstrated passion for working with K-12 students and prior experience in schools or urban communities is preferred.
Additional Qualifications for Experienced Teachers
  • A proven track record of high achievement in the classroom.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting is preferred.
  • Valid State Certification and a Master’s degree are beneficial but not required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university before employment begins.
  • A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher by the time employment begins.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 . Starting pay is determined by various factors, including relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $50,000.
