Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Icon Protection Inside Sales Representative is responsible for aggressively growing the customer base and developing opportunities within current and new accounts by direct inside sales efforts from outbound calling campaigns. This position sells products using industry, customer, and product knowledge to influence and assist in recommending products for the customer’s requirements. The Inside Sales Representative’s activities are focused on existing sales regions and/or focus accounts, working alongside the corresponding Territory Sales Manager or Account Manager to provide comprehensive support and coverage to the customer.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Contribute to the outstanding reputation of the company by always putting the customer first, treating fellow associates with respect, and conducting business with highest integrity
  • Manage daily activities within customer database as it relates to all aspects of the sales cycle
  • Generate new business by telemarketing and direct marketing to quality sales leads from website, tradeshows, advertisements, prospect database, customers and inbound inquiries
  • Meet the planning and reporting requirements of the position (agendas, recaps, CRM documentation, etc.)
  • Prospect within existing customer database via phone and email to grow current account sales
  • Perform follow up with customers and prospects who have recently been sent samples and or product information
  • Contact customers who have not ordered recently to determine status and prevent lost business
  • Develop and produce qualified sales opportunities for National and Territory Sales Managers
  • Work with Sales Team to support sales efforts, including assistance and or preparation of customer reports
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly established sales goals in accordance with business development plan
  • Support company's trade show marketing efforts through strategic calling campaigns and e-blast follow up
  • Occasionally attend and assist at Trade Shows
  • Learn and understand the customer’s applications and benefits of our products
  • Respond to customer requests and needs promptly
  • Focus resources on priorities, define plans and actions consistent with business needs
  • Organize initiatives to achieve optimal results and meet critical timelines
  • Build, strengthen and maintain positive business relationships by establishing rapport with customers
  • Respond in a prompt and courteous manner to product information requests via telephone, mail, website or tradeshow
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns
  • Display a professional image in all settings
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Complete one visit to each assigned territory per quarter.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess relevant sales and outbound calling experience. Possession of at least a high school diploma or GED is required, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Previous experience with distribution sales models preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for multi-tasking and problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess proficient reporting skills and have meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM systems such as Salesforce required. Must have a positive, outgoing, assertive, and competitive nature with a strong customer orientation.
