Pay Rate: $14.25/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations to meet the business needs while fulfilling internship requirements.
  • Engage in special projects designed to enhance learning and meet departmental goals.
  • Provide consistent and accurate support within the assigned department.
  • Support the hiring and termination processes to ensure effective onboarding and offboarding.
  • Participate in 3 - 5 special events, including parades, concerts, fairs, and festivals to address property requirements.

Specific duties may vary and are tailored to provide a comprehensive experience to meet internship objectives.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

  • Required:
    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
    • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary educational program pursuing a degree related to human resources or a similar field.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in guest service roles.

Skills

  • Required:
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
    • Ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
    • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Required:

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Treasure Island guest service training.
  • Position-related training as mandated by division director.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Good balance and capability to bend, kneel, and stoop.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Proficient in repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is necessary.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will take place both indoors and outdoors, possibly in settings with flashing lights, loud noises, and cigarette smoke.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule including various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Occasional interactions with difficult or hostile individuals may be required.
  • This position involves a high volume of direct public interaction.
