Job Description

Position Summary:

An Executive couple with an established Family Office is seeking a House Manager for their seasonal residence in Jupiter, FL, to provide hands-on oversight and long-term management of residence and grounds while assisting with various interior tasks.

This individual will assume 360-degree responsibility for the smooth operation of the residence. The House Manager will collaborate with the principals, established domestic team, and the Family Office to maintain the principals’ high standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the residence. Perform a daily walkthrough to ensure all systems are in proper working order.
  • Manage household staff schedules, duties, and timekeeping. Provide ongoing training.
  • Check cleanliness of all interior rooms ensuring the residence is principal ready.
  • Coordinate vendors and ensure their work is completed appropriately.
  • Maintain a House Manual with contact information, the annual maintenance schedule, and checklists for daily, week, monthly tasks.
  • Plan and execute events at the residence.
  • Act as the face of the residence, greeting and assisting the principals, family members, and their guests.
  • Ensure the residence is stocked appropriately, run errands, handle airport pick-ups, and complete other tasks as requested.
  • Oversee projects.
  • Assist the family’s representative with any construction or renovations.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a fine home for a private family with excellent verifiable references. The clients are looking for a professional who offers exceptional customer service and understands social etiquette. Candidates should understand what is required in caring for and maintaining ocean-front homes and have proven track record of successful property, people, and project management. Hard-working individuals with demonstrated loyalty and discretion will do well in this role.  A bachelor’s degree or Estate Management Certification is a plus.

Schedule: Generally, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility for extended days or weekends requested, especially after Thanksgiving though the end of January.

Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000, depending on experience. Excellent benefits include and annual discretionary bonus, medical and dental insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO, sick days, paid holidays, and more.
