Responsibilities
What You’ll Do as a Hospice Chaplain: - Provide spiritual support to patients and families by assessing their needs and offering care aligned with their beliefs and practices.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop comprehensive plans that meet spiritual needs.
- Coordinate spiritual services , including working with community clergy or spiritual counselors.
- Lead religious services for patients, families, and staff as requested.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the faith community, offering guidance and support.
Required Skills
A few must-haves for our Hospice Chaplain: - Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (MDiv)
- Have successfully completed four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education, CPE or equivalent theological degree
- Experience working with death and dying, terminal individuals and their families or caregivers.
- Hospice experience preferred
