Responsibilities:
- Help to grow this business with best practices ensuring accurate production forecasts, increased propagation, optimized schedule and inventory, maximum quality production, plant health, reduced waste, accurate production and inventory records, and sufficient inventory as forecasted.
- Analyze crops to identify and correct issues through fertilizers, irrigation as well as pest, disease, and weed control programs ensuring a healthy and sufficient inventory of high-quality, healthy plants.
- Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light.
- Assist in the development and implementation of growing protocols and procedures.
- Assist in creating a well-maintained, safe environment that complies with the highest safety practices and industry standards.
- Demonstrate business acumen including achieving revenue and profit goals, and managing materials, schedules, inventory, costs, and forecasts.
- Demonstrate and communicate professionalism, expertise, best practices, accountability, ethics, results, profitability, corporate goals, and the value of a workforce.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in horticulture growing operations and greenhouses.
- Successful track record growing healthy, quality plants, excellent propagation and growing practices, accurate production forecasts with sufficient inventory as forecasted.
- A degree in Horticulture or Floriculture or related and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
