Jacksonville, Florida , looking for a proactive
Freight Forwarder Coordinator to manage and optimise import/export operations across modes (ocean, road, air). This is a hands-on role that supports bookings, documentation, carrier relations, and smooth shipment flow.
Key Responsibilities - Handle export and import freight bookings and scheduling across multiple transport modes.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation: B/Ls, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
- Liaise with carriers, agents, customs brokers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments.
- Track, trace, and monitor freight status; resolve delays, discrepancies, or issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, including customs, Incoterms, and carrier requirements.
- Assist with rate negotiations, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Provide regular reporting and status updates to stakeholders (sales, operations, customers).
Requirements - 1-3 years' experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with freight forwarding systems / TMS / ERP, and MS Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent is preferred, though not essential.
