About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its U.S. operations. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep commitment to advancing children's rights and equity, particularly in the areas of poverty, exploitation, and neglect. This role is pivotal in guiding the organization through a critical leadership transition, co-creating a sustainable organizational structure, and ensuring the stability and alignment of U.S. operations with the global mission. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic and operational oversight, with a strong focus on fundraising growth and diversification. This includes sustaining and expanding the current event-based fundraising model while strategically diversifying into major gifts, institutional donors, and corporate partnerships. Essential qualifications for the role include a minimum of 10 years' senior leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive role within a nonprofit or social impact organization, and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in securing six-figure gifts and leading high-profile events. The ideal candidate will have a background in international development, child rights, or global nonprofit management, and experience with Indian diaspora communities. They should be adept at team leadership, change management, and have excellent communication skills to serve as the organization's chief spokesperson. A degree in a related field and knowledge of the U.S. philanthropic landscape are preferred. The Executive Director will also be responsible for organizational stewardship, governance, and ensuring financial compliance with U.S. nonprofit regulations.
