Job Title: Commercial Roofing Estimator & Account Mgmt.

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: Fulltime (Hybrid)

Position Summary:

• Our client is looking for a Commercial Roofing Estimator & Account Manager with 5+ years of experience in estimating commercial roofing projects and working with The EDGE estimating software.
• This role will work closely with the company owners, taking over key house accounts and continuing to grow those relationships through consistent communication and professional estimating practices.
• You’ll be instrumental in both bidding new work and managing existing client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities: Estimating & Sales:

• Prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates using Estimating Software or The EDGE software.
• Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with owners and sales team to develop strategic bids and proposals.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry pricing, materials, and labor rates.

Account Management:

• Manage and grow existing house accounts currently handled by the company president.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing consistent communication and follow-up.
• Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, project updates, and service needs.
• Build long-term relationships based on trust, integrity, and quality service.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

• Work directly with the company owners to support the execution of their client strategies.
• Coordinate with the production and service departments to ensure successful project execution and handoff.
• Assist in developing long-term sales and growth strategies for key accounts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating and account management
• Proficiency in The EDGE or estimating software
• Deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.).
• Strong understanding of construction documents, takeoffs, and scopes of work.
• Previous experience managing or supporting client accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CRM systems (ie Salesforce, Netsuite, etc) is a plus.
• Prior work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial roofing or construction environment.
• Ability to build rapport with clients ranging from property managers to building owners and general contractors
