Position: 2nd Shift Dock Worker / Warehouse Associate Location: On-Site - Chicagoland Area
Shift: 2nd Shift
We are seeking
motivated and reliable Dock Workers to join our 2nd shift warehouse team. If you're a seasoned forklift operator or looking for a better opportunity with room to grow, this position is for you!
Position Summary The Dock Worker is responsible for
safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight , ensuring accuracy to prevent shipping errors, customer claims, or complaints. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that plays a critical part in our shipping and logistics operations.
Essential Functions - Load and unload trailers in a safe and timely manner
- Perform re-weighs during each shift
- Conduct daily freight inspections and equipment checks
- Inspect trailers for suitability prior to loading
- Recoup, palletize, and shrink wrap freight as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Knowledge of basic dock procedures
- Forklift experience in a dock or warehouse setting
- Ability to identify and report recurring problems or safety issues
- 1-2 years of forklift experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
Credentials & Experience - 1-2 years of forklift experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
