Job Description

Position Summary: The Director of Game Presentation and Events is responsible for planning, management, execution and review of all Miami Marlins live events. Although heavy emphasis will be placed on the Miami Marlins game presentation, this person will directly oversee all team related events both onsite and offsite. Essential Functions: Responsible for the development, implementation and/ or review of the game presentation plan for 81 home games and a number of pre-season and playoff games Responsible for the management of the various elements associated with the game presentation such as the Marlins Energy Team, Mascot, game presentation hosts, PA announcer, organ player, etc. Assure that department is delivering on all departmental related needs for all non-baseball Marlins Park events. Assist in the research and booking of various entertainment both on the post-game and outside the venue Responsible for the development, implementation and/ or review of the live events plan for all other team related live events such as the World Series Party, Rally Monday, etc. Responsible for the coordination and organization of all communication between all other departments as it pertains to the above events Responsible for the research and booking of various entertainment as it pertains to the above events Negotiate, close, implement and evaluate promotional deals in regards to entertainment as it pertains to the above events Develop, implement and evaluate in game elements and programs that maximize revenue and create awareness and exposure for various products and services Direct the conceptualization and creation of all graphics, videos, and announcements used for game presentation and for sponsorship, tickets sales and other select events Responsible for the development, implementation and/ or review of the game script and the communication with other departments required to execute it Responsible for the creation of new, unbudgeted revenue-generating marketing and sponsorship programs Responsible for the career and personal growth of aforementioned department members Provide experience, guidance and leadership for marketing department and other departments Participate in the brainstorming sessions Other duties assigned Qualifications & Requirements: Prior sports and entertainment industry experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer Detail oriented w/ excellent organizational skills Excellent written and verbal skills Excellent interpersonal skills Strong work ethic Creative and proactive problem solver Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and selected holidays Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines: Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Sports/Business Management Minimum of 5 years live entertainment and event production/ planning experience preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
