The Certified CPR instructor will plan lessons, demonstrate correct CPR techniques, and assess students' competency in First Aid, CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Basic Life Support (BSL). School of Continuing & Professional Studies at Lehman College – City University of New York (CUNY) will handle all student administration, registration and coordination. Required certifications include CPR Instructor Certification with BLS Instructor.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing comprehensive lessons for Adult/Pediatric First Aid, CPR, & Basic Life Support training.

• Conducting engaging training sessions tailored to varying group sizes.

• Demonstrating proper CPR/BLS techniques both online and in-person effectively.

• Providing constructive feedback to enhance student performance.

• Monitoring and evaluating student progress to ensure CPR proficiency.

• Ensuring training materials are current and compliant with relevant regulations.

• Ensuring continuous professional development to uphold CPR training standards.

• Demonstrating exceptional customer service to students.

• Submit student names for CPR credentials

Teaching Schedule: Part-Time, Hybrid, Flexible Schedule

• Evenings 6-9pm occasional Saturdays 9-12 & 1-4pm

• Classes 6-9 hours of teaching per week, $45-$50 per hour

• In-person skills assessment is held in the Bronx:

CUNY on the Concourse (COTC), 2501 Grand Concourse, 3rd Floor

Or

Lehman College, 250 Bedford Park Blvd. West

Qualifications

• Required certifications include “CPR Instructor Certification with BLS”

• Experience teaching at least 4 CPR classes

• This position requires in-person teaching at CUNY on the Concourse (COTC) located at 2501 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. 

Required Knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly.

• Proficient with Zoom, MS Teams, Google Classroom, and other remote instruction software.

• Self-directed and willing to take initiative.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

• Provide quality customer service.

Other Work Requirements

• Promptly responding to students' and staff inquiries.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including Evenings and Saturdays.
