Countertop Fabricator From $20 to $26 per hour (pay dependent on experience)

Midwest Marble & Granite is Olathe, KSs premier granite and marble countertop provider. The company was founded by a countertop expert who wanted to provide clients with better service, higher levels of expertise, and a joyful experience.
Many companies can cut, fabricate, and install countertops. Our #1 job at Midwest is helping homeowners fall back in love with their homes. We also enjoy helping designers, remodelers, and builders shine for their clients.

Requirements - ExperienceWe require 1+ years of successful experience in general construction (residential or commercial). If you have direct countertop installation experience, this is a plus. Your starting wage is based on your level of experience and referrals/recommendations.

- Accountable We have key performance indicators (KPIs) for our installers, and you are expected to meet these standards. If you go above and beyond, please know this will be highly regarded and recognized monetarily and via a career path.
- Be able to demonstrate your knowledge of measurement and planning, stone cutting, edge profiling, polishing, and quality inspection.
- Experience using grinders and polishers
- CAD/Templating procedures using LT software a huge plus
- Familiarity with EasedEdge software is a huge plus.
- The ability to operate forklifts and cranes is a plus.
- Effective, professional, and thoughtful communication (especially verbally) with our clients, your team, suppliers, and staff.
- Technical/Mechanical must be able to read and interpret design plans and technical drawings, have basic math skills for accuracy and inspection, have a strong understanding of the properties of stone material, and have proficiency with fabrication tools and machinery.
- Problem solver must demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a way that ensures a happy long-term client and is as cost-effective as possible for the company. The ability to foresee and prevent problems is a big plus.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment screening (includes but not limited to drug screening, motor vehicle, and criminal background checks)
- Must be able to carry/lift to 100lbs, utilizing the lift and other tools as appropriate
- Must follow rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment must use personal protective equipment as required (ear, eye, gloves) and respiratory masks when working with stone dust.
- Must comply with maintenance and safety procedures for all equipment.
- Valid/insurable drivers license.
- US Citizen or be eligible to work in the United States
- You must have a presentable wardrobe (shirts provided), but shorts and pants must be appropriate, with no holes/rips/tears, and must fit appropriately.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must provide 3+ work-related references that can be verified
- Steady work history is a plus.
Physical Requirements - Regularly required to stand for long periods
- Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls of various equipment
- Vision abilities close and distance vision, ability to distinguish between colors, depth, perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work in physically demanding jobs that include standing, kneeling, bending, lifting
- Ability to work in various temperatures and noise levels (with appropriate personal protection equipment)

Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm (start and end times may vary depending on the project and location). Overtime and Saturday work are possible.
