Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a vital role in fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow team members through kindness and effective communication. Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93

• Effectively implements physician orders, administers medications, initiates IVs, and performs treatments, procedures, and special tests while adhering to company policies and local/state/federal regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Conducts thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Applies sound clinical judgment to manage patient care effectively.
• Provides prompt primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administers both over-the-counter and prescription medications as per physician instructions.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guides and directs ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of prior clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is necessary.
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them in improving departmental and patient care quality.
